Neelsville.
What is Stephen Ministry?
It is a program providing one-on-one Christian care giving to those in need.
Who are Stephen Ministers?
They are committed Christians who, after receiving 50 hours of initial training, are commissioned before the congregation. They express God’s love through the nature of a caring relationship with their care-receiver. They are committed to preserving the confidential nature of the caring relationship. They participate in regular support, supervision and continuing education under the guidance of trained Stephen Leaders.
Who needs a Stephen Minister?
Anyone
currently experiencing life’s difficulties and challenges.
Grief, illness, loss of job, family problems, retirement, relocation,
loss/questioning of spiritual faith, and many other issues often leave an
individual feeling lonely, fearful or isolated.
A Stephen Minister “walks” with us during times of difficulty.
